Lunch at Burger King’s
Once upon a time, a teenager aged 15 who lived in Miami, Florida, (Where is Horacio Kane?) wanted to go to Burger King’s with one of her friends. Her name was Jane. Jane was a long brown-haired girl with green eyes. She wore a slim jeans and a grey T-shirt.
- Mum, Dad, I would like to go to Burger King’s with my friend Kate. Can I?
- What are you talking about? You know that we can’t go there because we are Muslims and it’s not hallal.
- Oh Mum, I will just eat fish!
- No, no and no!
During this time the bell rang.
- Hi Kate!
- Hi Jane! How are you?
- Fine, except one thing. There is a problem: my mother doesn’t want to let me go out because the food there is not hallal.
- I will arrange this problem… Don’t worry. Hi Miss Ghoneim, how are you?
- Fine. You’re particularly beautiful today. Have you cut your hair?
- Yes, three weeks ago Kate…
- Oh… Sorry.
- So Mum! What is your answer?
- I don't agree… Ask your father.
- Dad! Can I eat at Burger King’s?
- No , now go to your room and Kate goes back home.
- Sorry Kate, see you in 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, Jane was outside and she went with Kate at Burger King’s, proud to have fought her parents…
Jane and Kate arrived at Burger King’s at 11 o’clock. Once inside, they watched around them. They saw some boys who were watching them, the two girls thought that boys were cute. Some people ate like pigs. Some kids played in the playground.
The employee wore a blue tee shirt and a cap where it was written “Burger King’s”. The employer was a blue-eyed and brown-haired man. Jane and Kate arrived to the counter and they started ordering.
- Hello, said the employee, what can I do for you?
- My friend would like a triple big burger with ketchup and mayonnaise, chips and a cup of coke. And I would like a double nugget burger with ketchup and potatoes, asked Jane
- So, you have to pay 30 £.
They paid and took their meals. During their lunch, they talked about Jane’s parents.
- I’m scared, I don’t know what my parents aere going to do if they know that I came here. They could kill me!
- Don’t worry, we will be home before they find out. We can invent a lie.
At the same moment, two adults came at the Burger King’s and Jane hid under the table. Kate said: “What are you doing? “
Jane told Kate to look at the door; it was Jane's parents!
